Features of Ferrosilicon Granules:

 

(1) The composition of ferrosilicon particles is uniform and the segregation is small;

(2) The particle size of ferrosilicon is uniform, without fine powder, and the inoculation effect is stable;

(3) The inoculation effect of ferrosilicon particles is stronger than that of ordinary ferrosilicon, and the tendency to produce slag is also small;

(4) Extend the life of the mold and reduce surface defects;

(5) Reduce pinholes, improve the surface quality of the cast pipe, and improve the pass rate of one-time inspection;

(6) Eliminate micro-shrinkage and improve the processing performance of castings.

 

  Application of Ferrosilicon Particles:

 

(1) Used as deoxidizer and alloying agent in steelmaking industry.

(2) Used as an inoculant and a nodularizing agent in the cast iron industry. Cast iron is an important metal material in modern industry. It is cheaper than steel, easy to melt and smelt, has excellent casting properties and much better shock resistance than steel. In particular, ductile iron, its mechanical properties are at or close to those of steel. Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon to cast iron can prevent the formation of carbides in iron and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite. Therefore, in the production of ductile iron, ferrosilicon is an important inoculant and spheroidizer.
